Pons Logopedics

Bridging the way to better communication

About

At Pons Logopedics, we believe communication is foundational to identity, autonomy, and connection. The pons is a structure within the brainstem that plays a vital role in breathing, facial movement, and the precise motor coordination required for speech. It also functions as a relay between the brain and cerebellum: a bridge within the nervous system.

The name "Pons," derived from the Latin pontis meaning "bridge," reflects both this neurological role and the symbolic importance of connection. It also nods to the seven bridges of the San Francisco Bay Area, where Pons Logopedics was founded. Communication is, in every sense, a bridge between thought and expression, between people, and between inner experience and the outside world.

Our services are tailored with care and clinical expertise to support each client's ability to communicate effectively and achieve their personal goals. In-home services are available throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, with telehealth options offered across California and Virginia.
